Permissions Used by the App

Location (Approximate & Precise) To detect your city or region, calculate accurate prayer times, and provide Qibla direction. Used only for app functionality — not for advertising.

Notifications To deliver prayer-time alerts at the times you choose to enable.

Battery Optimization Exemption To prevent the system from delaying or cancelling alarms when the app runs in the background.

Vibrate Used with prayer notifications when vibration mode is selected.

Internet Required to send anonymous analytics and crash reports to Firebase and PostHog (described below).

Data Saved on Your Device

The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device to remember your preferences, such as:

Selected city or last known location label
Prayer calculation method and madhab preference
Time format, theme, language, and notification settings

This data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

Data Sent to Analytics Services

Separately, the analytics services described below receive limited technical data about how the app is used. This includes things like which screen was visited, which prayer notification was toggled, or whether a location refresh succeeded or failed.

No precise location coordinates, city name, or any personal information is included in these events. For example, a location event only records whether the refresh was successful — not where you are.

The app uses the following services to help us fix bugs and improve performance. These services automatically collect limited technical data:

Tracks general app usage and screen visits to help us understand how the app is used.

No personal details, name, email, or location coordinates are included in any of these events.

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

Location: You can deny or revoke location permission anytime from Android Settings. Prayer time auto-detection and Qibla direction will be limited without it.
Notifications: You can turn off prayer notifications from the app or from Android Settings at any time.
Advertising ID: You can reset or opt out from Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Data Security

All data sent to Firebase and PostHog is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections. We follow standard platform security practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
